Questions and Answers of of Micro Maxi Deluxe Kick Scooter
Would this be good for a 7 year old? My son is still a bit nervous to use a two wheeler and still really wants a three wheel scooter
Answer: Absolutely! My son is the same way and will be 7 this summer. My son is really tall for his age, and this scooter has been fantastic!! It took him a bit to get used to it as it’s different then other three wheeled ones (there’s a bit of play in the front wheels) but he loves it so much.
Question: Is this higher off the ground than the micro mini delux scooter?
Answer: It is not. Both the Mini and Maxi have decks that are 2 inches off the ground
Question: How does this scooter works on Turing left or right steering? Does kid have to lean on the turn?
Answer: Yes, they lean to turn. It’s really easy for them to turn when they lean.
Question: My daughter is turning 4 this year (2018). She is already 4’1” tall. Would I buy this scooter for her to have growing room?
Answer: My 9 year old son is using it and he is happy with it
Question: Moms and dads, do you ride this? I’m 5.5ft and 120lbs, can I ride this?
Answer: You may be a hair too tall to use the product. The max rider height is normally around 5’3 depending on posture and arm length.
Question: What sized wheels are on here? I need to buy replacement wheels for my 2 other Micros….
Answer: 120mm in front (x2)
80mm in back (x2)
Question: Does the manufacturer back up their product beyond the stated warranty? Or are they very strict and picky over what they will honor?
Answer: I have not had to deal with the manufacturer. I bought directly through Amazon back in December, and have not had any problems with the scooter. (It is now March)
Question: Can an adult woman who is 125 lbs ride this scooter? what is the max weight?
Answer: This can support a rider weighing up to 150 pounds; the “max rider height” is normally around 5’3″/5’4″ depending on arm length. We see plenty of moms on the petite side ride the Maxi with success. Cheers!
The petrol green color looks teal on my screen. Does this color have a bluish tone in it or is it more like forest green? Thanks.
Answer: It is a true color of “teal” with neon yellow graphics. We would not describe this scooter as being blue nor forest green.
Question: The box for the micro maxi deluxe says new weight rating of 70kgs (150lbs), yet on the underneath of the deck it still has 50kgs as the weight limit.
Answer: Hello! As kiddos are heavier here in the United States, we had the Maxi Deluxe tested for a higher weight limit (of 150 pounds)– and, it passed!
Question: Would you recommend the maxi or the mini for a 3 3/4 year old who is 42 inches and 36 pounds?
Answer: maxi…they will outgrow the mini and you will need to buy a maxi anyway.
Question: What is one thing you would improve in this scooter?
Answer: Make the wheels bigger.
Question: what is the weight limit por the child?

Answer: My son is 21kg and flies on it. I don’t know what the max is. I suspect he’ll be using it for another year or two.
Question: Can this be used on dirt paths at parks?
Answer: I wouldn’t use in dirt. My grandkids ride it in the house on the wood floors and it makes no marks on floors…all 4 of my grandkids have one and they love them👍🏻😀
Question: My son had the y-glider that was really smooth and fast. how fast is this scooter? i find that the razor scooters are a lot slower comparatively.
Answer: It’s hard to say exactly how fast it is, but I know that I can’t outrun my daughter when she’s riding hers.
Question: Can streamers be attached to the handle bars? I can’t tell if there is a hole to fit them in the picture.
Answer: Yes, definitely (the grips on the Maxi are the same as the grips on the Mini – all versions)
Question: The description of the micro maxi deluxe says it is “23.6 x 6.5 x 10.6 inches. the original micro maxi says it is “22.4 x 9.1 x 36.6 inches.”
Answer: The Maxi Original and Maxi Deluxe have the same-sized deck (standing platform): 13 inches x 5.5 inches
Question: Does the box it is delivered in have the image of the scooter on it? We live in an apartment and our kids see almost every box delivered b4 us.
Answer: You can select “ship in an Amazon shipping box” at checkout if you are worried about curious eyes noticing the parcel. Cheers!
Is the begininning weight for the maxi deluxe the same as the maxi original?
Answer: This was a gift for a grandchild in another state, but also a question for the manufacturer.
Question: Does this model have the joystick like the original Maxi? If not, why not if the Deluxe is suppose to nbe better.
Answer: The Maxi Deluxe does not have the option of the joystick handlebar by “default.” That said, you can always purchase a joystick handlebar separately (if desired) for $34.99. Question: does this come in a box
Answer: Yes, it does!
Question: Does the scooter fold?
Answer: It does not.
Question: Are these self balancing like the ones for 2-5 year olds?
Answer: This is a “lean to steer” model, this is the same type of steering as found on the Micro Mini (ages 2-5). Riders lean their body weight left/right to steer this product, we call it “surfing the sidewalk.”
Question: Can my 2.5 year old use this height 36” and 27 pounds or do I have to buy the mini?
Answer: You don’t HAVE to buy the mini. we bought maxi for our 4 year old and our 2 year old was able to use it. but we went ahead and got the 2 year old his own mini and he flies on it. we initially thought the mini was a bust as it was narrower, and seemed more unstable and prone to tipping
Question: My son is 2.5 years old and 36” tall and 27 pounds. Would this work or do I need to get the mini?
Question: what model year is this scooter?
Answer: The Maxi Deluxe hit the U.S. market in 2016
Question: I have a 8 yr old boy and a 10 yr old girl. which micro you recommend each? considering I hope they can use it a few years.tks
Answer: My 5 yr old have a maxi, my 3yr old has a micro. I only just started extending the bar on the maxi. I don’t know if it’s befitting of an 8yr old but I’d personally go for something more mature as my son seems to be outgrowing it despite the length (meaning it’s not the height that’s an issue).
